The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority The Housing Authority's Building Committee today (Thursday) approved tenders for the supply and installation of electrical system, fire services system and water pump system for Tung Chung Area 10 Phase Three. The systems will be installed in one 3-storey commercial centre, one 2-storey clinic block, two 7-storey Flexi primary schools, two 7-storey Flexi secondary schools, and one 2-storey central refuse collection system building. In addition, the tender for the supply and installation of two lifts for the clinic block and two lifts and two escalators for the commercial centre was endorsed. The tender for the supply and installation of a complete air- conditioning and mechanical ventilation system for the commercial centre, the clinic block, and the central refuse collection system building was endorsed too. Members also approved tenders for the supply and installation of electrical system for two 36-storey New Cruciform blocks for redevelopment of Tin Wan Estate Phase Two. Tenders for the rewiring and reinforcement of the electrical installations for three rental blocks at Tsui Ping Estate and three rental blocks at Shun Lee Estate were also approved. Members also endorsed tenders for term contracts for the inspection, repair and maintenance of playground equipment and impact absorbing surfaces. The contracts are for a period of 24 months, scheduled to commence in December 1995. Tenders for term contracts for minor maintenance works were also approved. One contract is for Sau Mau Ping and Kowloon East, and the other for Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi. Both contracts are for a period of 24 months commencing January 1996.
