Content : The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:

Thousands of prospective buyers today (Tuesday) collected application forms from the Home Ownership Centre at Lok Fu Shopping Centre in Wang Tau Hom for 4,659 flats now being offered for sale in Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Phase 17B.

"Up to 5 pm today during the first day of application, about 60,000 application forms have been distributed by the Home Ownership Centre and various offices throughout the territory," a spokesman for the Housing Authority said.

"The response has been encouraging and indicates that the sales exercise is attractive to home buyers as a wide range of prices and localities are available to them to meet different needs," he noted.

Five HOS projects and one Private Sector Participation Scheme (PSPS) project are being put up for sale in Phase 17B. They are Tsz Oi Court Phase II and Tsz On Court Phase II in Tsz Wan Shan, Hiu Lai Court Phase III in Sau Mau Ping, Kam Fung Court Phase II in Ma On Shan, Hin Ming Court in Tseung Kwan O, and the PSPS Harmony Garden in Chai Wan.

The flats are sold at 45 per cent discount to their assessed market values. Prices range from $635,500 to $1,551,000, except for the small flats at Hin Ming Court, which measure about 20 square meters each and are priced between $293,800 and $364,200. All the flats at Hin Ming Court will be sold to Green Form applicants.

In addition, 200 flats in Bo Shek Mansion in Tsuen Wan under the Hong Kong Housing Society's Flat-for-Sale Scheme are available for application by home buyers. The prices of the flats range from $1,403,000 to $2,517,000.

The spokesman said application forms and pamphlets introducing the projects on sale were distributed at the Home Ownership Centre, which would be open from 9 am to 7 pm daily (including Sundays and public holidays) during the application period until November 20.

Application forms can also be obtained from all district offices and housing estate offices.

Many aspiring flat buyers today visited the Exhibition Hall of the Home Ownership Centre, where models and other details of the projects are on display.

They also viewed the show flats for the HOS projects at the Podium of Wang Lok House, Lok Fu Estate, near Lok Fu Shopping Centre Phase I. The show flats are open to members of the public from 9 am to 6.30 pm daily during the application period.
