The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority: In response to media enquiries on the safety of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Kam Fung Court Phases I and II in Ma On Shan, a Housing Authority spokesman said today (Monday) that the court was structurally safe and sound, and that flat buyers should have no reason to worry. "In planning the Ma On Shan development, we had carried out very thorough, high-quality ground investigations under the design and supervision of qualified geologists and engineers," he explained. "The ground conditions of Kam Fung Court Phases I and II were all catered for in the foundation design, and the foundation work was completed strictly in accordance with the procedures and requirements under the Building Ordinance," he noted. Kam Fung Court Phase II is being sold under HOS Phase 17B. A ballot to decide the successful applicants for HOS Phase 17B and their priority in flat selection would be in mid December as scheduled, the spokesman added. End/Monday, November 27, 1995 NNNN |
