DegreeWorks is a Web-based academic advising and degree audit tool primarily introduced for undergraduate students under the 4-year degree curriculum. It matches a student’s academic record against the curriculum requirements and offers a user-friendly interface that helps students easily determine what courses they still need to take to fulfil the requirements of College/School, Gateway Education courses, major, minor, etc. It also facilitates communication between the students and the advisors.

The English Language Centre (ELC) provides activities and resources for all CityU students who wish to improve their English. One of the major features of ELC is its Self-Access Centre where students learn in a free and friendly environment with the assistance of language advisors and a wide variety of language-learning materials and equipment.
Located on the 3rd floor of Academic 1, the Library occupies a central location that is easily accessible by users. The total number of seats available is around 2,480. In addition to a collection of more than 1,046,400 print and over 2.5 million electronic volumes, the Library also maintains an expanding number of electronic databases, e-journals and media resources.
Student Development Services (SDS) plans and promotes events that enrich the educational experience and whole person development of students at CityU. Staffed by professionals from a variety of backgrounds, SDS provides student services, psychological counselling, physical education, career and internship advising, and training workshops to support a healthy student life.
