Scope
of Works
To improve the ventilation system for
various laboratories in BCH, AP and EE
departments.
Fume cupboards in aforesaid departments
will be converted into variable volume
system for energy saving.
The air-conditioning system for Microbiology
Laboratory of BCH department will be retrofitted
for better environmental control and maintenance
access.
Achievement
A much safe environment is provided
for the laboratories as the ventilation
rate is enhanced to 2 air changes per
hour minimum and 6 air changes per hour
when fume cupboard is operated.
The main air-conditioning equipment
for Microbiology Laboratory is located
outside the room. Thus the future maintenance
work is enhanced and less disruption will
cause to the users during regular servicing.
