Facilities Management Office (FMO) was established
in June 1998, resulting from the University's re-engineering
review. Merging the former Campus Services Unit and
a large part of Estates Management Office, the formation
of FMO was a strategic move.
FMO was established for the purpose of re-aligning
the Office so as to better support the University in
achieving her mission and vision. Being
a young and energetic office, FMO always pushes for
improved performance in respect of productivity, efficiency,
quality and cost-effectiveness.
FMO has been fostering a quality culture that targets
at good customer service. Our strength lies in the committed
workforce and the quality system in place.
- to design, operate, repair and maintain the building
structures, building services and facilities;
- to provide security service round the clock to
protect all staff, students and property in the
campus;
- to provide logistics support to the University's
core business;
- to provide estates and residential management
services;
- to operate, maintain and develop AV equipment
and system;
- to protect the environment, handle waste disposal
and energy management;
- to improve the campus ambiance;
- to handle emergency situation;
- to support the University and departmental activities;
