Director's Message

Welcome to the website of the International Exchange Programme at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS). Recognizing the importance of the internationalization as an essential part of the curriculum, the CHASS, City University of Hong Kong, has expanded its effort to enrich its student exchange opportunities by actively developing global partnerships. The exchange programme initiative is a two-way street benefiting both inbound and outbound students in a mutual exchange of academic experience and cross-cultural exposure.

Since establishing the International Exchange Programme in 2003, the CHASS has successfully developed exchange programmes with more than 35 overseas universities from North America, the Asia Pacific Region, and Europe.

The value of the international exchange experience can be evidenced in that participating students greatly benefit from the global exposure they encounter when placed in a new educational community. Outbound students return transformed by the cross-cultural immersion, and inbound students go back to their home country enriched with the local Hong Kong experience. Consequently, both parties become more fully rounded global citizens.
