The English Language Centre’s Language Lounge provides a relaxing, English-speaking environment for students to practise their English.

Any CityU student can come to the Language Lounge to:
Participate in practical language activities
Use computer assisted language learning programmes
Chat to teachers and other students
Try out quiz questions and role plays
Watch TV programmes and films
Listen to songs and music
Play board games
Read magazines or surf the net

To make it easy for everyone speak English, everyone who uses the Language Lounge and other ELC facilities is required to speak only English.
