	The Hong Kong Professional Teachers Union focuses on teachers’ rights and welfare, and organizes courses and workshops for teachers.
	The Hong Kong Association for Self-Access Learning and Development organizes monthly workshops for its members to exchange information about self-access learning and meet other practitioners.
	The Hong Kong Association of Applied Linguistics holds regular meetings to discuss issues of interest to applied linguists in Hong Kong. The group’s website offers conference information and links.
	The Hong Kong Reading Association fosters reading research in the Hong Kong context. The group has a newsletter and organizes workshops, seminars and conferences.
