The English Language Centre gives priority to teacher development. ELC-organized activities include:
Teacher Development Sessions, held weekly, at which ELC teachers share ideas and insights, sometimes with outside speakers
Teaching Development Day, usually held between Semester A and B, which focuses on a specific educational theme, such as testing or independent learning
Annual Retreat, usually held in Semester B, at which future directions and departmental teaching-related issues are discussed in a relaxing environment
ELC Colloquium on teacher-specified areas of interest, held on the first day of the academic year
Teacher Development Courses, organized from time to time in response to teachers’ needs
