James has taught English at CityU for 12 years. His main interest is in development of high quality academic reading and writing materials that engage students in the classroom and independently. He was CityU’s writer for the UGC-funded Inter-university Online Collaborative Self-Access (ICOSA) project, a shared repository of interactive activities for which he produced more than 50 activities for improvement of academic skills. He was a member of the inter-university Online Project for the Improvement of University Speaking (OPTIMUS) team and has served for four years as Secretary of the Hong Kong Association for Self-access Learning and Development (HASALD) https://hasald.wordpress.com/.
