Turnitin User Group of
Hong Kong & Macau

 

The Education Development Office at City University of Hong Kong and the Center for Enhanced Learning & Teaching at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology will jointly host the first Turnitin User Group meeting for the region of Hong Kong and Macau. Different from the User Group Session in May 2009, this meeting will be led by users to share knowledge and communicate with each other. Of course representatives from Turnitin and guests from overseas will also be attending the meeting to keep us informed on the latest development in plagiarism prevention.

Time: 10:00am – 12:00noon
Venue: Library Seminar Room, Run Run Shaw Library, City University of Hong Kong

Guest Speakers:
Dr. John Barrie, Founder, Chairman and VP Product Management, iParadigms LCC
Mr. Malcolm Rees, Academic Quality Manager, Massey University

Meeting Outline:
1) Introductions – each participant is given 3-5 mins to provide an overview plagiarism prevention at his/her home institute
2) Update on Turnitin development – Dr. John Barrie
3) Discussion of model for plagiarism policy and more – Mr. Malcolm Rees
4) Wish List – all participants
