About EDO
A major responsibility of the Education Development Office (EDO) is to strengthen City University (CityU)’s teaching and learning culture into one that is learner-centered, data-driven and outcomes-oriented.
EDO’s Departmental Objectives and Core Activities/Services
The Department’s mission is to aid the University to strengthen its teaching and learning environment. To fulfil this mission, the Department combines pedagogy and technology to deliver services that aim to enhance student learning and/or facilitate the professional development of staff. Specifically, EDO’s core activities and services aim to achieve the following objectives:
- to assist academic staff to develop more effective teaching strategies and techniques to facilitate student learning;
- to promote effective and creative use of the e-Learning facilities for teaching, learning and assessment;
- to facilitate the adoption of outcomes based approach to teaching and learning.
