Mr Stephen Liang is the Director, Product Promotion of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation responsible for promoting and developing Hong Kong’s external trade. In this position, he is responsible for the formulation and implementation of the Council’s overseas promotion activities for Hong Kong’s merchandise trade.
Since joining the HKTDC in 1996, Mr Liang has worked in the Service Promotion Department and also posted to Singapore office overseeing the Southeast Asia market. Formerly, he was appointed as the Head of Mainland Promotions, in charge of the Council’s promotional activities on the Mainland.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr Liang graduated from the York University in Canada with a Bachelor of Sociology degree. He then furthered his studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
