Abstract

I would like to add a digital component to my English courses, using a discovery approach to introduce students to collaborative online writing in an academic context. Peer production and collective intelligence can be sources of creativity, and so by creating one document together a group of students can gain inspiration from one another. Also, the medium permits for reflection on the process of writing, with prior versions of documents available for analysis.
