Abstract

There are studies in Hong Kong indicating that the general public and university students are lacking limited knowledge in understanding people from sexual minority groups, such as gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender groups as well as others with non-conforming sexual and gender expressions (Chan, 2005; HKSAR Government, 2006; Hon, et.al. 2006). The university students perceived these groups of people from a single perspective as "sick and pathological (Hon, et.al. 2006)."Celebrating Sexual Diversity" is an innovative project to which facilitates students' critical and reflective thinking in studying sexual diversity issues from a broader social cultural and historical perspectives.
