The University Grants Committee (UGC) supports the development of learning and teaching initiatives through the allocation of the Teaching Development Grant (TDG) amongst tertiary institutions. Last year,the Office of Education Development and Gateway Education helped administer TDG funding to support 54 projects, totaling over HK$8 million. All teaching staff are eligible to apply.
The UGC emphasizes that the Grant should integrate and complement institution-level initiatives and promote innovations to enhance the quality of teaching for the better provision of quality education to students. Matching funds provided by the Colleges / Schools / Departments may improve probability of success.
