Supplementary GE Funding 2011-12

To facilitate the introduction of new GE courses while also promoting the Discovery-enriched Curriculum (DEC) and interdisciplinarity, the University decides to offer supplementary funding support for GE courses newly offered in 2011-12. Funding will be to the level of HK$100,000 per course. This scheme is managed by EDGE and funding is arranged by the Office of the Provost. The GE Course Evaluation Panel (GEEP) instituted within EDGE is charged with the responsibility to evaluate the funding applications with reference to the level of Interdisciplinarity and Discovery-enriched Orientation of the GE courses concerned.

In the 1st round, a total of 22 courses have been funded. The deadline of the 2nd round of funding application is 11 November 2011.
