Regulations Governing Student Groups under the Committee

1. Student groups are set up and managed by the Secretariat of the Cultural and Sports Committee (CSC), Student Development Services, City University of Hong Kong.
2. Currently there are six student groups under the sponsorship of the CSC, they are:
2.1 Debating Teams
2.1.1 CityU Chinese Debating Team (香港城市大學中文辯論隊)
2.1.2 CityU English Debating Team (香港城市大學英文辯論隊)
2.1.3 CityU Putonghua Debating Team (香港城市大學普通話辯論隊)
2.2 Performing Groups
2.2.1 CityU Chinese Orchestra (香港城市大學中樂團
2.2.2 CityU Choir (香港城市大學合唱團)
2.2.3 CityU Philharmonic Orchestra (香港城市大學管弦樂團)
3. At the beginning of the financial year and prior to applications for CSC sponsorship, each student group should submit an annual plan together with a budget proposal for endorsement by the Secretariat of the Cultural and Sports Committee.
4. The office-bearers of the Executive Committee of the student groups shall be current students enrolled in CityU award-bearing programmes.
5. The appointment of office-bearers of the Executive Committee should be endorsed by the Secretariat of the Cultural and Sports Committee.
6. The appointments of conductors of student performing groups are made by the Secretariat of the Cultural and Sports Committee.
7. Members of the Student Groups are required to observe the Guidelines for Student Groups under the Sponsorship of the Cultural and Sports Committee.
