Proxy Server Configuration - Netscape Navigator 2.0 or 3.0 

Below are instructions on how to configure your browser to use CityU proxy server. By using the proxy server you will get even quicker downloads for frequently visited web sites.

The proxy server location (URL) for Netscape in CityU is http://proxy.cityu.edu.hk/proxy/proxy.pac
 

Configuration Procedures:

1. Open Netscape Navigator.
2. From the menu bar, select Options => Network Preferences.  
 
  
 
3. Select the Proxies tab.
4. Select Automatic Proxy Configuration.
5. Set the Configuration location (URL) to http://proxy.cityu.edu.hk/proxy/proxy.pac
6. Select Reload to activate the changes.  
 
  
 
7. Click OK to exit.
