To serve you better, the Hard Copy Centre is pleased to announce a series of new services:

• CD-ROM Recording Service
• OCR Scanning Service
• Video Capturing Service
• Sound Capturing Service
• Special Photographic Effect Service

CD-ROM Recording Service

With the rapid growth of technology, it is possible to use personal computer to handle a huge amount of statistical data, documents, images, video, etc. Yet, it is time-consuming and not easy to backup and restore this large amount of data. It becomes even more difficult if we need to access data on a frequent basis.

With our CD-ROM Recording Service, this is no longer a problem. Not only can you store data of sizes up to 650MB on a single CD-ROM, you can also gain fast access to the data as if it is stored on a hard disk. Moreover, data stored on a CD-ROM is more reliable than that on other storage media such as floppy disks, hard disks, magneto-optical disks and backup tapes. The reason being that CD-ROM is less prone to damage and since it is a write-once media, it is therefore virus-free (if source is virus-free).

OCR Scanning Service

Do you find it tedious re-typing pages of printed document into your computer? I bet you would like to take a break. Our OCR Scanning Service can help you save hours of typing. It allows you to capture text from a hard copy into a document file. The file captured can then be edited with the aid of common word processors such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Lotus AmiPro, etc..

Video Capturing Service

Do you want to make your presentation or computer-based training software more impressive and lively? With the Video Capturing Service, you can capture video from VCR tapes or laser discs into video files. The video files can then be shown on your computer without additional hardware.

Sound Capturing Service

To enhance your presentation further, why not incorporate audio effects? Our Sound Capturing Service can help you capture voice, song, music, etc., into a sound file. All you need is a sound card installed on your computer in order to play the sound.

Special Photographic Effect Service

At times, you may want some advice in editing photographic images or to add some special effects, like Pinch, Emboss, Wave, Diffuse, etc., to your images. If so, this service is the right one for you. We have prepared a set of samples that will demonstrate the various types of special effects. Do come and let us show you the wonders of this service.
