Following the success of the last 3 years, the CityComp programme is coming back again this summer. For those who have not been with us long enough and don't know its details, here is a short summary of CityComp.

The programme is a 3-day computer conference for secondary school students, preferably for those senior formers. It is usually held during the school summer holiday and aims to promote wider use of computers and introduce the latest computer technology to our Hong Kong youngsters. This year we have scheduled to hold it during 17 - 19 July.

With the increasing popularity of the Internet, more and more people in Hong Kong are interested in this worldwide information highway, no matter they want to use it for business, for study, or even just for fun. We thus decided to adopt it as the main theme of this year's programme. Participants will be shown ways to hook up with the Internet, methods to retrieve useful information from the net and how to browse the World Wide Web using Netscape, a web graphical browser.

Just like the previous years, we will have seminars of high academic as well as entertainment value, and workshops on practical software in this year's programme. Hot computer topics such as multimedia computing, computer animation, electronic communications, will be presented during our keynote speeches. Participants will also be able to learn the Windows 95 operating system, Chinese Windows and some popular input methods, WordPerfect for Windows, and so on in the afternoon course sessions.

Sound interesting to you and want to know how to enroll for the event? Just call 2788 8284 or 2788 9834.
