New Outbound Modem Service on CTNET

 

City University Network(CTNET) users can now communicate with other Hong Kong computers on four outbound modems. This enables staff to reach out to public Bulletin Board Systems(BBS) without having to install individual office modems.

All staff need is a PC connected to CTNET. When using the modems, users can select from two transmission speeds that fit the other modem and choose a terminal emulator, either PC240 or PCTERM.

For courtesy's sake, please remember to hang up immediately when finished with the modem. This will facilitate other network users connecting quickly. To connect to CTNET, or to learn how to use the outbound modems, please call the CC Hotline at x7658.
