CityLink Plus for Students - Save More during the Non-peak Hours

Horizontal Rule [Dec 98]

Noel Laam

Internet Access is a trendy interest for youngsters nowadays and our students are certainly no exception. To ensure the fair use of the dial-up facility for them, a quota system for CityLink and CityLink Plus was implemented in June 1998 and since then each student can enjoy 30 hours' free Internet access a month. Statistics showed that the dial-up lines were overloaded during peak hours and in order to ease the heavy traffic, a bonus system has been introduced to encourage students to use the facility during non-peak hours. The bonus system offers discount rates in calculating a student's monthly connection usage based on the access time zone(s):

2:00a.m. - 8:00a.m. 80% off

8:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. 50% off

6:00p.m. - 2:00a.m. No Discount
