Eudora Pro for Windows 3.1 is Here!

As you might have already known, we have introduced a powerful and user-friendly windows-based email software, Eudora Pro 3.0, to all Windows 95 users few months ago. Now, we are pleased to announce that the software is available for use under Windows 3.1 on our campus network too.

The software will be found in the newly created "Eudora Pro 3.0" group in the Program Manager of network Windows 3.1 after performing the following installation procedure under the DOS environment:

Select "Departmental Network Windows Library" from the CTNET menu.
Select "Eudora Pro 3.0 - Add User" and follow screen instructions.
Enter your email account username in lowercase. For example, csandy.
Confirm the account username.
Enter your real name, for example, Andy Chan. This name will be shown in the email messages you send to others.
Eudora Pro will then be installed into your PC and the system directory c:\csc_app\mailbox\csandy will be created.
When you start network Windows 3.1 again, a new group for Eudora Pro 3.0 should have been created.
Open the Eudora Pro 3.0 Group and double-click the Eudora Pro icon to start Eudora.

To learn more about using Eudora Pro, you are encouraged to join our staff course "Using electronic Mail - Eudora Pro". The CSC also published an "Eudora Pro User's Guide" to serve as a quick reference. It is available for sale at the University Computer Shop while complimentary copies have been distributed to every departmental office for staff's references.
