CSC Forum - The Leading Edge

If you haven't been to a CSC Forum, it is now time to think about attending one. Our first round of seminars which began in last October was well received by all staff and students in our CityU community. Computer professionals from prestigious companies such as Intel, Microsoft and Hong Kong Telecom were invited to give talks, demonstrations and slide shows on their specialized fields. In order to keep pace with the latest technology, we have selected topics like Hot Java, Electronic Commerce on Internet, Breaking the Chinese Barrier, Microsoft and the Intranet, Multimedia for Education and Intel MMX's technology.

Our second round of CSC Forums which commenced in mid-February is even more appealing as we have included topics like Interactive TV Services, Data Security, The Netscape Vision and many more interesting topics to be announced. As long as you make a habit of reading your personal email or the university network messages upon booting up your PC, you'll be guaranteed not to miss these great events. Furthermore, a week prior to the event, there will be posters on every noticeable spot within campus including your department notice board.

If for some reasons you and your colleagues were unable to attend the seminar in the assigned time slot or did not get a seat due to the vast popularity of the seminar, we shall try our best to arrange a re-run of that topic for you. All you need to do is let us know by dropping a call at ext. 9834.
