VoD on the CTNET allows users to select and view video from a collection of archives over the network. This technology is likely to greatly enhance the availability of multimedia information to teachers and add substantial value to the educational process. Video sessions of lectures, conferences, forums, seminars, demonstrations and course materials etc. can be recorded, encoded and stored on the media server, allowing simultaneous real-time access to the same piece of information at users' own pace from any location on campus or via ISP from home. |

Video Conferencing Video Conferencing makes it possible for CTNET users to hold live interactive meetings as well as to conduct distance learning, training, seminars and conferences with other parties located either within campus or off-campus. With the high performance Multi-point Conferencing Unit (MCU), it is possible to connect up to 12 different locations into a single virtual meeting room. On the CTNET, three types of connections are provided: H.323, the IP network connection; H.320, the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) connection and the combination of both H.323 and H.320 connection.
