For eligible students of the NOSS 2011 who purchase a notebook of one of the 32 models from the approved list of notebook models below from the Digital Technology Festival 2011 (DTF 2011) organized by the Student Union (SU), they may apply for the subsidy amount of $1,000 for the notebook purchased.
Each eligible student can apply for one subsidy only regardless of how many units of notebook computers have been purchased.
The NOSS 2011 applies only to the students of the City University of Hong Kong, and is not applicable to the students of the Community College of City University.
The following categories of CityU students are eligible to apply for the subsidy in NOSS 2011:
The application period is from 1 October 2011- 31 December 2011, and no late application will be entertained.
Eligible students are required to complete and print the online application form available from the AIMS (under 'Student Services' tab), and submit the following documents to the FO for processing reimbursement:

The hard copies of the necessary documents must reach the FO no later than 15 January 2012, or the application will not be considered.
The subsidy will be deposited to your designated bank account about 1 month after the form reached Finance Office.
To encourage the students of the City University of Hong Kong ("the University") to employ IT in learning, the University has implemented the Notebook Ownership Scheme for Students ("NOSS") in which eligible students are subsidized with an amount for their purchased notebook computers ("Computers") from the authorized notebook ownership programmes.

Yes, you are recommended to enter your own bank account in the field; otherwise, you have to contact the FO for assistance.
