(A) Check List of Notebook Parts

Firstly, check carefully if all the parts are included. Report to the Student Notebook Computer Daily Loan Scheme immediately if there is anything missing.

(B) Boot up Procedure

Power Button


Power on the notebook by pressing the Power Button.

Press Enter to select the DLS-WIN7 to boot up the Microsoft Windows 7 partition.

Note : All previous data will be erased after boot up.

If you want to keep some settings from your last section, you may press Ctrl-K to keep them. Also, this is to remind you that your data inside the hard disk will also be seen by next user if you did not delete your data from the hard disk and empty them from the trash.

 

(C) Use of Wireless Network

Before you can access the wireless network, you need to login using your CityU Network Connection Account. A logon prompt will appear automatically as below. Key in your network connection username and password, and then click on the OK button to login.

(D) Save up Your Work Using USB Flash Disk

You are recommended to save your work by using an external USB flash disk. When you plug in a USB flash disk as shown, the disk will be automatically detected:
