Central Software

The University has adopted a set of software that are centrally supported for teaching, learning and research purposes. Centrally supported PC software is made available to staff and students in the staff LAN and student LAN through the 'Software and Services' menu accessible from the e-Portal login page.

Software with Site Licenses

The University has site license arrangements for a bunch of software that can be used by any department within the University. They can be classified into the following categories:

Note

1. As software from different vendors has different licensing terms, users are strongly advised to examine in details the terms of use described in the related page and the terms of use displayed while installing the software.
2. New software license arrangements may be made upon their expiry, and users are reminded to check this site regularly for change.
