Students admitted to the normative 4-year degree will be allocated a specific major programme offered by the department after completion of the first-year study.
The top 40% of students in the department will be allocated to their first choice major according to the following criteria:

Two College foundation courses, one from the group of liberal arts studies and one from the group of social sciences studies.
(6 credit units)
|Specified by the Department of Media and Communication||Two College-specified courses (6 credit units)|
The other 60% of students will be allocated a major of their choice, subject to the availability of places and the following selection criteria*.
