Sonia started her career as a journalist in SCMP then moved on to TVB Pearl News. She taught English and communication at VTC and was academic advisor with Baptist University before joining CityU. She now coordinates the departmental internship programme and advises students on internship-related matters.
The courses she teaches include Writing for the Media, Fundamentals of Persuasive Communication, Principles of Public Relations, Crisis Communication, and Communication Practicum.
