01 Jun 2017 (Thu)

Five students (LAI Ka Ting, LEE Cheuk Hang, LEE Tsz Ying, LEE Wing Chu and WONG Yee Shan) from the Department of Media and Communication have bagged the Champion award for the outstanding PR skills showcased in the first Hong Kong Creative Public Relations Competition.
The students, constituting Team Basicity, has been working on a campaign since December that helps their client communicate the message ‘Bounce Light. Better Life’. Their efforts culminated into a series of street demos and interviews where passersby from all walks of life experienced the bouncy feeling using the client’s new product range. They also earned their client’s trust in running a Facebook page especially created for this campaign.
The competition is co-organized by the Business-School Partnership Programme, Hong Kong Education Bureau (EDB) and the Hong Kong Creative PR Competition Organizing Committee which includes Hong Kong Design Institution, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Hong Kong Baptist University, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Shue Yan University and Hang Seng Management School.  All academics representatives have formed the HKCPRC Organizing Committee.
More than 600 contestants entered into the post-secondary section of the competition. Only 11 teams were selected to go into the final round.
Congratulations to the team whose creativity and passion in PR has received accolades from both the industry and the panel of judges at the competition!
