Computational Communication Research Using Social Network Analysis: Opportunities, Challenges, and Pitfalls

On April 29, 2022, the Computational Communication Research Cluster held the fourth event in its roundtable forum series. Dr. Yu Xu from the Northwestern University and Dr. Hyunjin(Jin) Song from the Yonsei University were invited to share their thoughts on the recent opportunities, challenges, and pitfalls in network analysis. Dr. XU and Dr. Song also introduced their representative work regarding how to leverage theory-driven computational communication research using network data. Dr. Xiaohui Vincent WANG and Prof. Jonathan Zhu from the COM department moderated the discussion. The event was attended via Zoom by more than 90 participants.
