COM hosted an online Zoom seminar on October 8, 2020 with Virginia Tech's Dr. Eric Jardine, an expert in the study of the dark web. The presentation showcased how news about the takedown of the dark web used for illegal drug trade sent deterrent and publicity signals to the public. The research design combining content analysis and Google trends data was inspiring and led to a lively discussion with the audience.
