Associate of Business Administration (Global Logistics and Trade Finance)

PROGRAMME AIMS

  • To provide students with the required knowledge and skills for developing their career in logistics and trade finance;
  • To provide students with a broad foundation knowledge in business administration to enable them to pursue further studies locally and overseas.


PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

  • Graduates can obtain associate membership of the Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA).


MAIN SUBJECT AREAS

  • The first year curriculum is designed to provide students with a firm foundation in business. Subject areas are: Marketing, Principles of Management, Financial Accounting and Cost Management, Business Information Systems, Business Statistics, Principles of Macro and Micro Economics, and English and Chinese Communication Skills for Business.
  • The second year curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for developing their career in logistics and trade finance. Subjects are: Business Logistics, Electronic Commerce I, Global Supply Chain Management, Credit and Trade Finance, Enterprise Planning Systems, Information Systems Management, Management Sciences, Distribution Management, International Trade Finance and Electronic Customer Relationship Management.

OTHER FEATURES

  • Students may have an opportunity to study at a university on the mainland for one semester in Year 2.
  • Students will gain hands-on experience in various flagship applications. Study tours and company visits will also be organized.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Pass at HKCEE/HKALE (AL or AS levels) in one of the following subjects:

  • Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, or equivalent

MODE OF STUDY

  • Two-year Full-time

CEF REIMBURSABLE

  • The programme/ course(s) in the programme has (have) been included in the list of reimbursable programmes / courses for applications to the Continuing Education Fund.
