CLASS scholar awarded for promoting psychological sciences in China

Dr Xiaodong YUE, Associate Professor of Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (formerly known as Department of Applied Social Sciences), has been selected by the Chinese Psychological Society as the winner of the 2018 Outstanding Contribution Award for promotion of psychological sciences in China.

Dr Yue has been recognised for his exceptional achievements and leadership in promoting counselling psychology and positive psychology in the Chinese society and for his pioneering contributions to studies of happiness and mental well-being in China over the past 25 years. The Chinese Psychological Society has 15,000 members. Each year, the Society honours those who have made outstanding achievements in promoting psychological sciences in China and have a significant positive effect on the cultural legacy of humanity. Congratulations, Dr Xiaodong Yue!
