Issue 6 of CITY CLASS released

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) of City University of Hong Kong is committed to nurturing professionals in a range of academic disciplines in humanities and social sciences and to becoming one of the best colleges among its counterparts in the world. The efforts of CLASS paid off with the admission scores of its student intake ranked among the top three when compared with cognisant programmes in Hong Kong.

The 6th issue of CITY CLASS reveals the secrets behind the CLASS’s success which attributes to the devotion of the academic staff to implementing innovative ways to maximise learning. For instance, Dr Melody CHONG, winner of the latest Teaching Innovation Award, shared her experience in engaging her students, inspiring their creativity.

Quality education stems from outstanding performance in research. Having adopted research excellence as its mission, CLASS has established an international reputation with huge academic achievements in recent years. Many of the staff’s research findings inform policy decisions. The feature story of this issue showcases some of the cutting edge research of CLASS. It is evident that the teachers of CLASS are staunch believers in having their research and teaching progress together.
