Prospective Students Join CLASS Events at CityU Information Day

It is about time for prospective students to submit their university admission applications and indicate their programme choices. To help them make informed choices, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) and its seven departments presented an array of activities at CityU Virtual Information Day held on 23 October 2021.

CLASS hosted a webinar to introduce two new Double Degree Programmes that are jointly offered with the School of Law (SLW), namely the Bachelor of Social Sciences in Public Policy and Bachelor of Laws (JS1122), and Bachelor of Social Sciences in Criminology and Bachelor of Laws (JS1123). Speakers from CLASS and SLW detailed the programme features and answered questions from prospective students.

As well, the seven CLASS departments have arranged numerous live sessions, in which the faculty members from the programmes on offer talked about the entry requirements, curriculum, career prospective, and internship and internationalisation opportunities. Some departments also invited current students and alumni to share their learning experiences at CityU and CLASS. Prospective students could also download programme leaflets, watch videos, or contact representatives to clear their doubts in the College’s and Department’s virtual booths.

In addition to the online activities, the Department of Media and Communication also organised two on-campus departmental facility tours, during which pre-registered participants were led to visit the Digital TV Newsroom, 3D Virtual TV Studio, and Advertising Design and Shooting Studio.

Those who have missed the Virtual Information Day may download the leaflets, read programme features and curriculum, and watch the programme videos on the CLASS website or event website.
