HUI Tak-leung, 1995 graduate of Diploma in Social Work, has been appointed Justice of the Peace (JP) by the HKSAR Government.

The main function of JPs is to pay statutory and non-statutory visits to prisons, correctional institutions, half-way houses, rehabilitation centres, detention centres, psychiatric hospitals, and other institutions and charitable organisations to ensure their effective management and that no individual is unfairly treated or deprived of his or her rights. JPs will ensure that complaints lodged by individuals are handled in a fair and transparent manner.
