Latest Issue of CITY CLASS Magazine Released

The latest issue of CITY CLASS, the magazine of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, is released.

It is our College’s mission to pursue teaching and research excellence. The knowledge generated is especially important in the time of crisis like the recent COVID-19 outbreak. In the feature story of this issue, Dr Nicholas THOMAS shares his views on how the Asia’s health systems have reacted to the pandemic, and Professor Samuel HO takes the readers to look at how individuals can handle the stress brought by the disease. Then, we have interviewed Professor LIU Yu-li, the new Head of the Department of Media and Communication, to exemplify how perseverance and passion help academics and researchers succeed. CLASS is also dedicated to contribute to the betterment of the society through knowledge transfer. Dr Gloria CHAN from the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences has been conducting research on hidden youth and trying to do away the negative stigma that has placed on these young people who are retreating from the society.

This issue also reviews some research outputs, as well as innovative teaching methods proposed by our faculty members.

Hard copies of CITY CLASS are available at the College office.
