We are delighted to announce that five faculty members of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences have earned the University’s Outstanding Supervisor Award this year for their exemplary work in supervision. They are Professor Samuel M.Y. HO, Dr Dannii YEUNG and Dr YU Xiaonan Nancy of Department of Applied Social Sciences, and Professor Jonathan ZHU and Dr LIN Wan-Ying of Department of Media and Communications.
The Outstanding Supervisor Award Scheme is established with funding from the Provost office, to promote, recognise and reward excellent research supervision. The selection of the winning candidates is determined by evidence of consistently outstanding results of supervision, based on their students’ achievements after graduation. The winners will be awarded funding equivalent to six months of PhD studentship.
