Dr. Hu Wanyang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public and International Affairs at the City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests lie in urban development, migration, and housing. Dr. Hu is a quantitative social scientist who is interested in leveraging big data analytics and statistical tools to examine urban issues. Her research has appeared in the Journal of the American Planning Association, The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Cities, etc.
Dr. Hu received an M.S. and a B.S. from Tsinghua University in 2013 and 2010 respectively, and a B.A. (double major in Economics) from Peking University in 2012. Prior to joining City U, Dr. Hu was an assistant professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau.
