A guest speaker from a leading international company based in US, two guest speakers from the BioMed Unit of the Industrial Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as our faculty member from CityU’s School of Creative Media will talk about the latest development and applications of 3D printing in the “ Emerging Technologies Forum” to be held at CityU on 23 May 2014. The applications of 3D printing is wide in various industries such as medical, toys & jewellery, electronics, automotive, textile, creative, etc. 3D printing has more freedom in making complicated shape compared to traditional manufacturing processes and it is highly automated.
The “Emerging Technologies Forum” is organized by the “CityU Business & Industrial Club (CUBIC)” managed by the Knowledge Transfer Office of CityU. This series of forums looks to the future. Speakers from industry and research institutions are invited to talk about the latest government policies, technological trends, local and regional initiatives, product development strategies, etc. related to their sectors.
