Second Progress Report on Student Notebook Computer Long Term Loan Scheme |
| |
The meeting agreed on the following issues relating to Student Notebook Computer Long Term Loan Scheme (LLS):
| a) |
to set the late penalty charge for students who have failed to return the notebook computer to the University within 14 calendar days after leaving the University at HK$400, which is the same as the charge for reinstating student status after termination of studies due to non-payment of fees; |
| b) |
for cases where students have lost their LLS computers outside Hong Kong, students should report the loss to the appropriate authority in the jurisdiction where the loss occurred. Consequently, Clause 9 of the “LLS Terms and Conditions” will be amended; |
| c) |
for cases where students are unable to produce and return the loaned computer as required, students will be asked to repay the original purchase price of the notebook computer to the University, and the late penalty charge as appropriate. |
