Associate of Arts in Bilingual Communication Studies (KOREAN AND CHINESE)

PROGRAMME AIMS

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:

  • Communicate in the spoken and written language of their option (English, Japanese, French, Korean, Spanish) about personal, social, cultural and workplace matters at a level equivalent to an internationally recognized assessment test* ;
  • Demonstrate a level of language skills appropriate for further studies, for employment and for personal development ;
  • Apply enhanced general knowledge of languages, society and culture of their option for further study and/or employment ;
  • Identify and critically explore problems, gather relevant information, carry out and present basic research under guidance, and propose solutions to address problems responsibly both individually and as part of a team ;
  • Relate major ideas in arts and humanities, science and technology to their own area of study.

    English: IELTS 6
    French: B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
    Japanese: JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) level N3
    Korean: KLAT (Korean Language Ability Test) level 2 or TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) Level 3
    Spanish: B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

  • With your good command of Korean and Chinese, you can find great employment opportunities in various fields such as IT, creative media, trading, banking, develop career paths working for multi-national companies in the region since Korea is one of the three major markets in Asia.
