Division of Language Studies
The Division of Language Studies offers a wide range of Associate of Arts programmes in communication, from applied languages and public relations to media, publication and digital visual design. We have excellent links with several UK and Australian universities among others. Many of our graduates continue their studies in Hong Kong or overseas.
We are an international, multicultural team of 50 full-time lecturers and tutors who come from Hong Kong SAR, China, Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Korea, Spain, the UK and the USA. The breadth of experience of the academic staff is matched by the depth of their qualifications. All programmes and option leaders are chosen for their commitment to quality education; many have doctorates; all are caring teachers.
Internationally recognized language assessment tests for French (TCF - Test de Connaissance du Français, and TFI - Test de Français International), Spanish (DELE - Diploma de Español Lengua Extranjera), Korean (KLPT-Korean Language Proficiency Test) and Putonghua (National Putonghua Proficiency Test) are offered by a special unit in the Division – International Language Proficiency Testing – for CCCU’s Centre for Lifelong Learning.
