Division of Computer Studies
Technology, with its many and varied types, is expanding and constantly making possible the great advancement of the human race in different fields. To keep abreast of the ever evolving needs of our society, the Division of Computer Studies offers academic programmes in different fields, apart from computing. These programmes not only enable the younger generation to experience the application of different technologies, but also help them to add value to themselves.
The Division, supported by professional academic staff and excellent facilities, plans its curricula to provide students with the basic principles, concepts and methods of applications in multimedia, aviation logistics, information technology, statistics, engineering and environmental studies. Our facilities include four divisional computer laboratories with state-of-the art hardware, software and equipment, network laboratory, multimedia laboratory, Linux laboratory and two project laboratories.
The Division further promotes internship and joint student projects with various organisations, and organizes technical visits, and overseas exchanges to Japan, the United Kingdom, Singapore and elsewhere. Seminars, career talks, competitions and social gatherings are regularly held to enhance peer learning among students. The Division is also committed to providing students with further study opportunities.
