香港城市大學專上學院
香港澳大利亞伍倫貢書院揭幕典禮

 

香港城市大學專上學院今天於九龍灣德福分校舉辦「澳洲同樂日」,向香港市民及教育界宣佈,基於與澳洲伍倫貢大學的策略性聯盟,香港城市大學專上學院未來之辦學名稱為「香港澳大利亞伍倫貢書院」。

 

香港城市大學專上學院於2015年7月1日與澳洲伍倫貢大學建立策略性聯盟後,隨即展開5年過渡期。建立策略性聯盟後,學院逐漸加強與伍倫貢大學合作,融入其國際網絡。

 

香港城市大學專上學院院長黃玉虹謂: 「是次活動由澳洲伍倫貢大學贊助,學院感謝澳洲駐港總領事館及澳洲商會大力支持,讓市民及學院師生了解澳洲伍倫貢大學及其城市。我深信將來的香港澳大利亞伍倫貢書院,一定會繼續秉承香港城市大學專上學院之優良辦學傳統及經驗,為香港作育英才。」於過渡期中,入讀城大專上學院副學士課程的學生,修畢課程後除可獲頒香港城市大學畢業證書外,亦可額外獲頒由香港澳大利亞伍倫貢書院的畢業證書,該學歷獲香港學術及職業資歷評審局認可。

 

是日主禮嘉賓包括澳洲駐港署理總領事戈頓健(Ken Gordon)、澳洲伍倫貢大學校董會主席Mr. Peter Robson、澳洲伍倫貢大學校長威林斯教授(Professor Paul Wellings) ,香港城市大學校董會主席胡曉明太平紳士及香港城市大學校長郭位教授 。除了精彩的舞獅表演及揭幕典禮,「澳洲同樂日」現場還設有各式各樣的特色攤位及講座,包括澳洲旅遊、澳洲美食、澳洲有機健康產品等,好讓市民及師生了解澳洲當地文化。

Community College of City University launches Future New Name

 

UOW College Hong Kong (UOWCHK), the future new name of the Community College of City University (CCCU) as a result of its strategic alliance with the University of Wollongong, was unveiled today (18 November) at the Wollongong! cultural fair at the College’s Telford Campus in Kowloon Bay.

 

With the formal ratification of the strategic alliance which began on 1 July, 2015, a five-year transitional period was set forth, where CCCU saw increasing integration into UOW’s Global Network.

 

“We are most grateful to the Australian Consulate General and the Australian Chamber of Commerce for their support of today’s event, which simultaneously introduces the University of Wollongong and the City of Wollongong to Hong Kong. I am confident that the future UOW College Hong Kong will continue to carry on the tradition of CCCU as a higher education institution that delivers quality academic programmes in Hong Kong,” said Ms Jennifer Ng, CCCU Principal. In these interim years of the College’s transition, new students entering the great majority of academic programmes in the College will receive dual awards for their studies, one CityU award and one UOWCHK award. The UOWCHK award has been fully accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).

 

Officiating at the launch ceremony for UOW College Hong Kong today were the Acting Consul-General of Australia, Mr Ken Gordon; UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wellings; UOW Enterprises Board Chair Mr Peter Robson; City University of Hong Kong Council Chair Mr. Herman HU Shao-ming and President of City University of Hong Kong Professor Way Kuo. The fair features Australian and Australia-themed products and talks on travel, education and work in Australia.
