Academic Planning and Development Sub-Committee
The Academic Planning and Development Sub-Committee (APDC) under CCCU Executive Committee has the delegated authority to review strategic academic development of CCCU. For new academic programmes, upon obtaining APDC’s approval of their initial proposals, Stage 1 Proposals can be prepared for submission to CVMC.
Terms of Reference
- To plan, review and monitor strategic academic development of CCCU;
- To identify and approve new areas for development for divisions;
- To identify and approve development of new partnership for top-up degrees, professional and life long learning programmes;
- To assess the viability of new programmes upon reviewing initial programme proposals in terms of projected market demand, expertise, resources, financial implications, and enhancement of CCCU image and reputation and make recommendations on their further development;
- To encourage and approve collaborative programmes among Divisions;
- To appoint working groups and similar bodies for the purpose of discharging the duties of the sub-committee, and to approve their terms of reference and membership; and
- To report on its business to CCCU Executive Committee.
